Besides the hardware, the biggest concern for AMEE is the software which tells it what to do or not to do.
Robot software is the set of coded commands or instructions that tell a mechanical device and electronic system, known together as a robot, what tasks to perform.
We can build software that spells out everything we want the robot to be able to do with updates as we go along or we can set up a limited software at the start with the ability to “learn” as the robot experiences new things.
There is plenty of software available ranging from paid to open source/free. Here is an example of a free one:
We will just use the paid or free software for building and testing purposes. It is incumbent upon us to build our own software so it is customized to suit. We will need to incorporate wireless testing protocols in our software as well.
More details on the software later.
